Research Interests

I am a controlled-source geophysicist and rock physicist who quantifies the effects of tectonism, fluid flow, and climate change on granular media. To conduct this research, I examine granular media using x-ray microtomography, cores, seismic reflection and refraction profiles, and aerial photography. I integrate these observations with empirical, experimental, and numerical models to identify and characterize fault systems, constrain paleoseismicity, and study earthquake-triggered geohazards.

Affiliations

I started as an Assistant Professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography July 1, 2021! During my postdoc, I worked with Dr. Pablo Canales at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Dr. Michael Manga at the University of California, Berkeley, and Dr. Peter Clift at Louisiana State University. I obtained my Ph.D. at Southern Methodist University under the supervision of Dr. Matt Hornbach.
